UEF FINNA: SEARCH ALL LIBRARY COLLECTIONS
All the material acquired by the UEF Library can be found in the UEF Finna: books, journals, databases and other resources; in print and electronic format. You can use electronic materials by logging in to UEF Finna using your UEF username and password.
UEF students and staff can use e-materials also outside the campus network by logging into the UEF Finna using their UEF username. Members of the KUH staff use the remote access for their library services. Inside the campus libraries the collections are free to use for everyone.
The search functions have been split into two areas:
1) LIBRARY'S COLLECTIONS (default setting)
- campus library material available for borrowing and reading room use
- department and faculty library material, not available for borrowing
- legal deposit copies (excluding prose fiction), available for reading room use
- e-books and e-journals
- databases and reference works
You can also access the National Repository Library's material and Finnish scientific articles (Arto database) via the library's collections.
2) SEARCH ON INTERNATIONAL E-MATERIAL
- international journal articles and journals
- books, conference publications etc. published online
Please note that the publications presented in the search results do not necessarily open up as readable full text material. This depends on the UEF Library's material use licences.
The advanced search (3) offers you versatile search possibilities. The advanced search also extends to the Arto database mentioned above.
UEF Finna has its own help section (4) that gives you more information about using different search methods.
E-journals and databases and other e-materials can be examined in the separate Browsing views (5).
By logging into the UEF Finna you can save your searches and search results and set up scheduled alerts for later use.

Feedback will be processed daily. Easily fixed issues will be solved immediately if they are essential to the service and in accordance with the operating policy. All feedback will be processed in the relevant services. If necessary, feedback will also be processed in the library’s working groups. Feedback and the changes prompted by feedback will be processed annually by the management group in the management review.
