Working spaces and IT services

Appliances and devices

  • You can use computers, printers, copy machines, scanners, quick printing spots and microfiche readers at the library. At the Kuopio and Joensuu Campus Libraries, you can find a workstation with an access to the Radio and Television Archive.

  • IT services:

    • Oppari and IT Services in Joensuu and Kuopio

    • Library's IT-helpdesk in Kuopio from Monday to Friday at 11.30-14.00

    • IT Services Online Chat Service from Monday to Friday at 9.00-15.00

    • IT Services in Savonlinna.

  • Students and members of staff: You can log in to the computers with you UEFAD username and password. When using your own devices, you can login to the Eduroam network with your UEFAD username (in form username@uef.fi) and password. Additionally, you can access the uef-open wireless network without login information. Check out the IT Services' instructions.

  • Other customers: for desktop computers, you can get a temporary visitor-uef username and password form the customer service desk in the Kuopio and Joensuu Campus Libraries and KUH Medical Library or from Oppari. You need to prove your identity. For your own devices, you can access the uef-open network connection without logging in.

  • The workstation with an access to the Radio and Television Archive is based on the law on collecting and preserving cultural materials 1433/2007.

Printing, copying and scanning

  • Students are allocated a printing quota of 400 free pages per academic year.

  • You can buy additional quota online, from the customer service or Oppari and in Savonlinna campus from the main cash desk.

  • Print quota pricing lists.

  • You can pay online, in cash or with debit/credit card. (In KUH medical library only cash, not card.)
