Standard level for courses

When you have self-evaluated your skill level (CEFR level), you can check from this list what would be the perfect course for you. For example, if you have A1 skills, we recommend that you'd choose Finnish 2 course. You can find course descriptions from WebOodi. For any help, please contact our teachers.

8014300 Survival Finnish

This course is for beginners, you don't need to any previous Finnish studies. Survival Finnish is for someone who is planning on staying in Finland for less than one academic year.

8014301 Finnish 1

This course is for beginners, you don't need any previous Finnish studies.

Finnish 1 is for someone who is planning on staying in Finland for one academic year or more.

8014302 Finnish 2

You have passed Finnish 1 or you have A1-level skills.

8014303 Finnish 3

You have passed Finnish 2 or you have A2-level skills.

8014304 Finnish 4

You have passed Finnish 3 or you have B1-level skills.

 

  • You can sign up for courses in WebOodi. There you can find timetables, course descriptions and registration. Type the name or the code of the course to the search field and you'll find the course description. You need a username and a password to registration, but you can read descriptions without signing in WebOodi.
  • You can only choose either Survival Finnish or Finnish 1, not both.
